Burn gel is a hydrogel used for the immediate first aid treatment of all types of minor burns. Burn gel consists of in excess 90% of water trapped in a proprietary gel containing a small percentage of the active ingredient, Melaleuca Oil - naturally occurring and among the purest forms of the Australian Melaleuca alternifolia tree (tea tree oil). Melaleuca Oil is a medically proven antiseptic used for centuries to support the healing of skin irritations, abrasions, minor wounds, insect stings and bites because of its anaesthetic, antimicrobial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Burn gel dressing offers its users an almost instant pain relief from the cooling gel and the anaesthetic properties of the Melaleuca Oil.
