How does catalytic converter work
In a catalytic converter, the catalyst (in the form of platinum and palladium) is coated onto a ceramic honeycomb or ceramic beads that are housed in a muffler-like package attached to the exhaust pipe. The catalyst helps to convert carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide(CO to CO
2
). It converts the hydrocarbons into carbon dioxide(CO
2
) and water. It also converts the nitrogen oxides back into nitrogen and oxygen.
Motor use metallic substrate catalyst
Our NES serial motor use metallic substrate catalyst adopts FeCrAl heat resistant metal substrate and originally imported coating material. The special coating technic makes the catalyst well combinded with the substrate and prolong the lifetime of the catalyst substrate. Our catalyst substrate can effectively reduce the CO,HC,NO
X
of the motor exhaust and make the emission to meet Euro
III standard.
