INDICATIONS
Ampicillin and oxacillin sodium for injection are indicated for the treatment of penicillinase-producing Staphylococcus infections, including sepsis, endocarditis, pneumonia, and skin and soft tissue infections. It can also be used for mixed infection caused by Streptococcus pyogenes or Pneumococcus and Penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus.
Adverse reactions
1. Allergic reactions: urticaria and other rashes are common, and leukopenia, interstitial nephritis, asthma attacks, and serum sickness-type reactions are rare; anaphylactic shock is rare. Oxygen inhalation and the use of glucocorticoids and other treatment measures.
2. Intravenous use of this product occasionally produces nausea, vomiting, and elevated serum aminotransferases.
